Literature Text

This night weeps tears of fog,
It seeks to wrap me in tentacles.
But although my heart had grown withered,
A vision seeped in,
And shattered the brittle surface.

This night suggests a different song,
Thoughts have not been shared,
And will remain locked in silence.
You leave me standing alone,
With my pockets full of memories.

This night tells of hidden possibilities,
It crackles and whispers cruel taunts,
And knowing that I will fail,
It brings with it my blackest hour,
Where no distractions lead me away from you.

This night it brings deep shadows,
Puddles sparkle in the reveries of moonlight,
Inside I can see my reflection.
I cannot look for very long.
It’s not who I want to be.

This night rings with voices of the past,
While you fade back into the life you cannot leave,
A dreamer remains in your half-remembered essence,
Only to be cast out by the demons of reality.
I’d prefer to live a lie.

This night speaks of a coming winter,
Where frost will lie upon my soul.
I shall lie alone in the ever-growing blackness.
The memory of you is a blade into my chest,
But I’d rather feel pain than forget.
in retrospect seems a bit melodramatic. really felt it at one time though....

Its not really that melodramatic, I known 'exactly' what that feels like (only I'm too stubborn to give up:P) . Nice work... keep up the writing.
